News for the Month
Perhaps the biggest news to hit Ontario in the last few years. Ontarios 2 biggest promotions, BSE Pro and BCW have decided on a merger that will see both brands fly their flag under the banner Maximum Pro Wrestling. The company immediately announced 8 shows circulating around Ontario over the next 2 months. So begins the birth of the promotion that will most certainly dominate Ontario for the forseeable future.

Ontario Wrestling Superstar, Cody Deaner underwent a personality change this month and unveilved himself as The Everyman. If nothing else Cody can simply be descibed as one of the most versatile talents in the Wrestling Industry today. I personally cant wait til the debut of The Everyman in an Ontario Ring. Alpha 1 celebrated a successful debut, by having one of the highest grossing shows in the saturated city of Hamilton in years. Headlined by Colin Delaney and Ethan Page, Hamilton seems to be regenerized with new blood. Alpha 1 returns on April 11.

Dragon Gate USA announced they will be running their first Canadian shows on May 7 & 8 in Toronto and Windsor. It will be interesting to see how well they can deliver with WWE and MPW running near the same time of year.

C4 has a stacked card for March 13th in Ottawa. I am personally looking forward to seeing the Battle of The Brainbusters between Tyson Dux vs. El Generico for the first time ever.

DWF returns on March 14th in Barrie with a stacked card that includes featured matches between Rico Montana vs. Kiyoshi, George Terzis vs. Manabu Soya & Tyson Dux vs. Kushida

The newly merged Maximum Pro Wrestling debuts in Niagara Falls on March 18, and continues to Chatham on Mar. 19 and Norval on Mar. 20. All 3 shows will feature TNA superstar Rhino as well as the stacked roster o MPW.

GCW will have its 100 show on Mar 25 in Oshawa and will continue on the 26, 27 & 28 at the Wizard Comic Con Convention at the Direct Energy Center. These shows will feature WWE Legends Demolition, Honkeytonk Man, Kamala, Bushwhacker Luke, Virgil, George Steele, Iron Sheik as well as many other names.

CWR returns on Mar 27 in Vaughn with the Tag Team Championship Tournament. The featured tag team for this event is TNA superstars Beer Money Inc. However in addition Ontarios top 7 other tag teams will battle it out for supremacy
